Objectives : To open a new world of cinema to the children of Bangladesh and to give
them an exposure to culture and tradition of different countries
through film as a powerful media of art.
Dates : January 21 to 27 2012
Nature : Feature films, short films, animations and documentaries suitable for children. Competition
for films made by children.
Venues : Central Public Library Auditorium
( Shawkat Osman hall & Seminar hall)
and others.
And 6 other divisional cities of the country
Show Timing : Daily at 11am, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm.
Other events : Day-long workshop for children.
Day-long seminar on children’s film.
Sharing of experience with children by 3 prominent
personalities.

shall be glad to know that Children’s Film Society, Bangladesh is going
to organize the 5th International Children’s Film Festival Bangladesh
in Dhaka from 21nd to 27th January 2012. We are planning to screen more
than 150 feature, animation and short films suitable for children from
all around the world simultaneously in 7 divisional cities of the
country during the week-long festival in DVD format. We will also be
happy to extend local hospitality to the filmmakers from abroad willing
to attend the festival as delegates.
We shall be very glad and grateful if you kindly take initiatives to collect a good number of quality films suitable for children from your country for the festival.
We hope
that you will definitely extend all sorts of cooperation to us to make
this international event organizing for children in Bangladesh a
success.
